1964 EPIPHONE CRESTWOOD DELUXE, finished in Aztec Bronze Poly

This is very likely a ONE-OFF custom ordered Epiphone guitar. The color Aztec Bronze did not appear in any Gibson or Epiphone catalog, however, back in 1988 or 89, I personally saw and held 2 Gibson Firebird guitars that were both finished with the same paint. I have photographs of the Firebirds but cannot currently locate those 35mm pictures, this is before digital took over, but eventually I will find them.
The Crestwood DELUXE was the top-of-the-line model of the Epiphone Solid-Body electric range, so it's not surprising that a store or an individual opted to Special-order a high-end model in a Special Custom Color.
The photo I am displaying will be replaced as time permits as it is Not very good. I plan to photograph and document this rare and beautiful Epiphone guitar when time allows.
